Dentu, Paris, 1837, 2 ff., 328 pp. Les initiales de l'auteur sont transparentes et désignent le prince Emmanuel Galitzin (4 janvier 1804-1853). Après avoir suivi à l'Ecole Polytechnique les cours de Gay-Lussac ou Thénard, il rentra en Russie comme officier dans l'Infanterie de la Garde, et combattit contre la Turquie (il fut blessé au siège de Varna). Après de nombreux voyages en Russie et en Europe, il s'établit à Paris où il devint membre de la Société de Géographie, au moment où il fit publier ce premier ouvrage , rédigé directement en français : "Le Manteau bleu". Il publiera de nombreuses études savantes et plusieurs traductions du russe. Le livre de police de l'éditeur Dentu (voir dans notre catalogue) indique un tirage à 500 exemplaires, au 1er décembre 1836. Etat très satisfaisant (usures au dos en mors) Langue: Français.
