An account of Grey Owl, the Canadian Indian naturalist who did so much to save the Canadian beaver from extinction, with a visit to his home on Kingsmere Lake. Grey Owl (b. 1888 d. 1938) was one of the first and most powerful spokespersons for the preservation of a pristine wilderness and a strong Native identity in Canada.
