This edition, distinguished by its olive green cloth with a gold design on the spine and gold spine lettering, is a testament to the enduring appeal of Comte's seminal work. The translator, J. H. La lista fu pubblicata nel quarto volume (1854) della Politique Positive. Comte's teaching, centred as it was upon the phenomena of human life, fell in with the views of those who were dissatisfied with social conditions, and anxious to promote reforms.
