Co; 60pp with marvelous cat illustration on almost every page and six really sharp lithos by Hatch. Books is very good -- boards worn on the edges, some soiling (dirty little fingers) but binding is tight and contents generally ver…y good. Previous owner's neat 1893 Christmas inscription, offsetting from the lithos. A nice copy of a scarce and fun cat book. This lithos are wonderful.

"This is the ranking work on…the subject, and very striking" (Bennett, American Nineteenth Century Color Plate Books p 78). Nissen BBI, 1382 (first edition of 1885).
