Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good condition. Good+ Dust Jacket (edge chips). First Edition. Boston, Massachusetts: The Beacon Press, 1951. A square, tight copy. Dust Jacket is price clipped (but repriced with an ink stamp, 2.75). No owner's name or bookplate. No remainder mark. Pages are unmarked. Bound in the original brick-color c…loth, decorated in black. Martin, Anna G. Spencer. From the Dust Jacket: "This book celebrates the 75th Anniversary of the organizing of the first Ethical Culture Society in America in 1876 by Felix Adler. Its importance lies in the fact that although the Ethnical Culture Society is a small group, it has exercised a wide and deep influence in this country out of all proportion to its numerical size. This book tells the reasons by illustrating them in the lives of the spokesmen -- men and women who were part of the force for progress during the past 75 years.". First Edition. Hard Cover.
