Paperback. Zustand: Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: No Jacket as Issued. First Edition. Original wraps. Softcover. An informative literary and visually nostalgic and absorbing publication. From the 'Prefatory Note': "This is Ike" has one purpose: to inform you visually about Dwight D. Eisenhower. It is the first book, so far as the authors know, to reveal a presidential candidate in a detailed photobiographic form. Past presidents-Wilson, Harding, Coolidge, Hoover, Roosevelt, Truman-were in office before enough pictures of them existed to enable U.S. citizens to appraise them by means of that other dimension which photographs, alone, make possible. Eisenhower, on the other hand, has been photographed thousands of times. From these thousands of pictures, here are presented over 250 that tell the most about the man, his family, his background, his work, his play, his wife, his son, his joys, his sorrows. This book is not an attempt to tell you what kind of a President Eisenhower would make. It is not intended to be a campaign book, but rather an objective study." Former/original owner's small pastedown name & address sticker on the top of front cover. A GOOD, TIGHT COPY WITH ALL TEXT AND PHOTOS CLEAN. For the Eisenhower afficionado/collector! GE3. …

The interior book has foxing and page browning, some vertical printing black ink marks on the publisher's page, but outside of those though, it has no other visible extraneous markings or other distractions throughout the book and thus all of the printing and very numerous photographs are all in a very well-preserved and enjoyable condition and the book's bindings remain tight and hence sound.
