Inscription to front endpaper. Boards have moderate shelf with bumping to corners. Spine ends are notably crushed with considerable tanning.

Half-Leather. Zustand: Very Good. 1st Edition. A scarce 1st edition, rebound in 1/4 tan calf with 5 raised bands and contrasting titling piece in black with gilt lettering. Boards with marbling/morocco effect. Some light foxing in places, minimal edge wear to boards, tight and bright and overall a very good copy. Presented by the author: "General Edmonds From J E B Seeley Mottistone Manor Isle Of Wight Feb: 1930" General Edmonds was a distinguished soldier and author. A really nice collectable item.
