Early leaves lightly bumped at their top fore-edge corners; a few spots of scattered soiling but interior pages overall remain clean. Binding is firm. A very good+ copy in a very good- dust jacket. With b/w endpaper illustrations by C.W. Love, ten b/w plates (including a frontispiece) on unpaged leaves, Foreword, and Prologue.
