[i], 8pp. The second clause of the constitution of the Montrose Scientific and Field Club states that its "objects shall be to promote scientific studies and research, and to cultivate friendly intercourse among its members." In this little book the author endeavours to explain what seems to him to be the best means and directions in which these objects can be carried out. The book is staple bound in thin brown card covers with black titling on the front cover. The book is in very good condition with light shellf wear on the covers and a faint water stain around the top corner of the front cover. There is a larger and more noticeable water stain around the rear top corner that extends down the fore edge. There is a very small piece missing from the top spine corner of the front cover. The contents are secure and clean with no inscription.
