Howe's Monthly". Howe was well traveled and known for his sharp wit in his editorials. The selections in this book are well representative of his thought and style. Howe (Edgar Watson Howe, 1853 - 1937) IMPRINT : Haldeman - Julius PLACE : Girard , Kansas DATE : (1926) EDITION : First Edition STATUS : OP - Out of Print PHYSICAL DETAILS : Petite Paperback; 64 pages (pagination includes title page); 3 1/2" x 5"; stapled gray wraps, with lettering in black (2 staples); rear cover is blank. GENERAL LITTLE BLUE BOOK CONDITIONS Pocket Series and Little Blue Books were issued using inexpensive materials and thus are almost always found with toned and faded paper. Other small defects such as slightly chipped corners, printer's smudges, and such are common. Any flaws beyond the normal for these will be detailed. Little Blue Books often did not have blue covers - or the blue has faded to gray. Later books issued near the final years of the series also suffered somewhat from sloppy type-setting. Please remember that vintage paper items are more fragile than their modern counterparts, and thus require proper care in handling. THIS COPY -- GOOD -- This is a previously owned book that remains clean and presentable, with the following particulars noted: There is a small bit of loss to the head of the spine (and also evidence of a bit of mending at the same)Fading along edges, else clean and presentable. Howe (also a newspaperman), Corra Harris (Likely the best known newspaperwoman of her day), and N. P. Webb. The book consists of a collection of pithy quotations from Edgar W. No writing or marking.
