Hardcover. Zustand: Good. 2nd Edition. A privately printed reprint of the 1679 edition, in two parts. A clean unmarked copy in dulled cloth.

Soft cover. Zustand: Good. Department of Justice, 1995. 255 pg. spiral bound text, printed on glossy stock. The covers are worn at the extremities, esp. the overlap of the text block, with a couple closed tears. One page (pg.125/6) was mis-bound, so that the holes at one point don't coincide with the laminated spiral wire (see photo). Six sections with dividers. No previous owner marks.

Contains six titles: "A Relation of the Proceedings against Ambassadors Who have miscarried themselves, &c."; "That the Kings of England Have been pleased, usually, to Consult with their Peers in the Great Council, and Commons in Parliament, of Marriage, Peace, and War"; "That the Soveraigns Person is Required in the Great Councils, or Assemblies of the State, as well at the Consultations as at the Conclusions"; "A Discourse of the Lawfulness of Combats to be performed in the presence of the King, or the Constable and Marshal of England"; "A Brief Abstract of the Question of Precedency between England and Spain." A Remonstrance of the Treaties of Amity and Marriage before time, and of late, of the House of Austria and Spain, with the Kings of England, to advance themselves to the Monarchy of Europe.

Exemplaire à peine ébarbé sur la tranche supérieure. Première édition de cette traduction parue en l'an V.

This collection includes works such as 'That the Kings of England Have been Please.etc', 'A Relation of the Proceedings Against Ambassadors Who Have Miscarried Themselves', and many more, which provide an account of the history, politics and government of the seventeenth century.The register runs as A4, B8-Z8. Collated, lacking the vanishingly scarce frontispiece, otherwise complete.Bound in full contemporary leather and re-backed in modern calf. L'édition originale anglaise avait paru en 1789 sous le titre de Journal of the Passage from India, by a route partly unfrequented through Armenia and Natolia, or Asia minor. Certains avancent que cette taduction fut entreprise en vue de l'expédition en Orient de Napoléon. L'ouvrage est illustré de deux cartes : la première est la Carte des routes (.) de Bassora à Constantinople (.) et de Latichra à Bassora par Alep et à travers le Grand Désert. La seconde est une carte de l'Egypte avec les Routes tant anciennes que modernes de la Mer Rouge à la Mer Méditerranée. Chadenat, 5072.
