Zustand: new. Pages: 260 Language: Estonian. Põhjuseid Hugo Raudsepa romaani "Viimne eurooplane" kolmanda trüki (esmatrükk 1941, teine trükk koos Lehte Taveli järelsõnaga sarjas "Eesti romaanivara" 1983) väljaandmiseks on enam kui küll. Loomulikult on neist kõige tähtsam kirjaniku 140. sünniaastapäev (s 10.07.1883). Tänapäeval teenimatult vähe tähelepanu pälvinud näitekirjanik ja humorist Hugo Raud-sepp on oma loominguga jätnud Eesti kirjandusmaastikule siiski tähelepanuväärse jälje. Satiirilise ja iroonilise põhikoega romaan käsitleb rohke dialoogi ja aforistlike arutluste vormis ühe osa eesti kultuuriintelligentsi meeleolusid ja kunstivaateid II maailmasõja eelõhtul. Tegevustikku sõlmivad vaimuaristokraatliku peategelase suvitusaegsed armuseiklused. Oma ajastu sotsiaalsete hoovuste täpse tunnetajana ja nende mahlakas ning rikkas eesti keeles kujutajana on Huga Raudsepa looming kergesti mõistetav väga laiale lugejaskonnale. 9789949686995. …
