Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good-. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: No Dust Jacket. Illustrated by F. Strothmann (illustrator). First Edition; First Printing. If you ever wondered what dam thought when Eve , and later the boys, appeared, here is the answer. Twain ssid he translated Adam's diary, written on stone tablets of course, and lets us know what really happened in the Garden of Eden , or as Eve renamed it, Niagra Falls Park. This humorous view of Genesis is illusttated by political cartoonist Frederick Strothmann. Adam (based on Twain himself) describes how Eve (modeled after his wife Livy) gets introduced into the Garden of Eden, and how he has to deal with "this new creature with the long hair." Condition is VG- with wear to the edges, corners and spine as well as some soiling. The frontipiece has the tissue guard, though it is loose at the top. The interior is clean and unmarked except for a long gift inscription on the ffep. ; B & W Drawings; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 89 pages.
