Cover has three Harvard University library stamps: one indicating Received and the others indicating Cancelled and Rejected (as there are no other library marks, this issue apparently was never accessioned by the library); top corner of cover has former ownership stamp of archaeologist J[effrey] P. Brain; volume has creasing in bottom margins, impinging slightly on body of text; tight, text clean. Paginated 42-71 (with pp. 42 and 71 being the inside covers), well illustrated. Contents: expanded gorgets, adena culture -- the adena point -- horsefly, doc and billy's columbus, indiana, meeting was a huge success -- an unusual engraved pottery vessel -- "digging in another man's dirt is a waste of time." Oversize [r b].

Two vellum paper sheets carefully taped together to make one 18 1/2 x 11 inch sheet. A few light wrinkles, else near fine. An incredibly neat, careful rendition with only a few spots of white-out for correction. 60% reduction note penciled upper right.
