Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book delves into the history of a seaside town called Cohasset, which first took shape in the wilderness of New England in the mid-17th century. It traces the town's evolution from its humble beginnings as a fishing community to its gradual transformation into a thriving center of shipbuilding, trade, and agriculture. The author draws on a wealth of primary sources to reconstruct the lives of the town's early settlers and their descendants, providing a vivid account of their struggles, triumphs, and contributions to the broader story of American history. Through the lens of Cohasset, the book illuminates the social, economic, and cultural forces that shaped the development of New England and, by extension, the United States. Its exploration of themes such as religious freedom, community identity, and the interplay between human agency and the forces of nature offers a rich and thought-provoking narrative for anyone interested in the history of our nation or the enduring power of local stories. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
