Hardcover. Zustand: Good. Assumed First. One of the most difficult Moody works to find in good condtion. As was the publishing tradition in that era the cover is exquisitely done with green background, black scroll work and the title in sharp gilt on spine. There is some wear to spine and the corners have been bumped. A pencil sketch of Moody appears on the frontispiece protected by tissue. There are no marks throughout the book except for the owner's name and date in script in front (the date written being 1881). The subtitle continues: "with Anecdotes and Incidents in Connection with the Tabernacle Temperance Work in Boston." There are seven chapters as follows: Sermons, Talks, Anecdotes and Illustrations, Living Witnesses, Gospel Temperance Convention, Lecture by John B. Gough, Tabernacle Incidents, and Meetings for Women. This Moody book is a definite treasure. It is the only one we have had through the years among the many we have gathered by the great evangelist.
