This P-39 was designed to carry one of the larger caliber armaments in a single-engine aircraft. The 31st Pursuit Group was the first operational combat unit to be equiped with the Bell P-39, and it saw service in the Pacific theater. The 8th Pursuit Group was the first unit in which the P-39 actually saw combat. Good. No dust jacket as issued. Cover has some wear and soiling.
