Pas de couverture. Zustand: Bon. "1930. Manuscrit autographe inédit d'une pièce de théâtre de Jean Ryeul, signé et portant la mention "bon à publier". Calligraphié à l'encre bleue et rouge, il est illustré de trois dessins de l'auteur et d'un de son fils Jean-Marc Voirand (1922-1944). Il contient également de nombreuses partitions musicales. Maurice Voirand dit Jean Ryeul (1884-1961) fut un écrivain, dramaturge et poète particulièrement actif à Paris dans les premières décennies du XXe siècle. Il semble avoir produit une oeuvre abondante (poèmes, féeries, odes circonstanciées, critiques, théâtre élisabéthain, pièces romanesques, comédies pour un théâtre de marionnettes) mais il ne fut que très peu publié. Il fut l'un des fondateurs de la "revue idéaliste d'action d'art" Les Actes des Poètes (1909) dans laquelle il publia certains de ses poèmes. En 1920, André Breton et Philippe Soupault lui dédicacèrent un exemplaire des Champs magnétiques (Paris, au sans pareil, 1920). Correspondant de Claude Cahun, Ryeul semble avoir côtoyé les mouvements dada et surréaliste, René Lalou indiquant (1) qu'il débuta "sous l'oriflamme dada"avec son ouvrage De Rien : drame inactuel, conte irisé (Paris, au sans pareil, 1922) "une espèce d'Ubu dadaïste". Un deuxième ouvrage, Centaures (Paris, au sans pareil, 1924), fut le second et dernier ouvrage publié du vivant de l'auteur. Furent publiés à titre posthume en 1965 La Légende de Raymond Lulle (Paris, Omnium littéraire), et en 2008 Sous le signe de l'ange d'après le manuscrit original de Jean Ryeul [1944] (Berlancourt, Nicolas Choin). Les oeuvres de Jean Ryeul semblent pour la plupart être restées à l'état de manuscrit, et, comme dans le manuscrit de Sous le signe de l'ange, Ryeul dresse en pièce liminaire de Lib-Pfitt une liste d'oeuvres parues (3) et en préparation (13). Certains de ses poèmes y sont reproduits, comme Le Cur ancien de la Cité, Doloroso-Luxembourg, Prose pour une semaine tragique, Le Lac d'oubli, Nocturne parisien.Jean Ryeul fut un acteur du mouvement dadaïste.
