The spine is faded with its titling completely faded. 215 & [1] deckle-edged pages. Illustrated in black & white with 6 plates, including a portrait frontispiece, & with full-page illustrations. The gutters are darkened & there is a bookseller's sticker on the front pastedown with a previous owner's ink name & date on the front endpaper. 1 plate is detached. There is light staining to the margins of the frontispiece & the half-title & title pages and the inner edges of the pages are slightly darkened throughout. Good. The title page of Harrington's English verse version, published in 1608, reads: "The Englishmans Doctor. Or, The Schoole of Salerne.
