All volumes have frontispiece, are illustrated (colour plates), indexed, bibliography and some have maps. This is a very heavy set, weighing over 5.65kg and is therefore not suitable for airmail.

As new, possibly unread set. An excellent five-volume set. All books feature superb gilt design to front boards, gilt titles to spines, and special endpapers. All are tight, bright and clean copies with no inscriptions, no foxing to contents, and no bumping to corners. Slipcase has some foxing to the inside, but the books themselves are as new, with no foxing to inside or edges. A stunning condition set. (18x23.5x20cm). Complete with many illustrations and photos within.Shell is green with similar motif of the book covers on two sides. Shell is in very good condition with some bumps and creases, but overall very sturdy and strong.
