Jacket has light chipping at corners, and there is a two inch self-healing tear on the front panel, at top of the spine. Jacket is not clipped ($39.95). Front and rear panels show moderate rubbing.

Ralph Edmund Stanley (1927 - 2016), also known as Dr. Ralph Stanley, was an American bluegrass artist, known for his distinctive singing and banjo playing. Stanley began playing music in 1946, originally with his brother Carter as part of The Stanley Brothers, and most often as the leader of his band, The Clinch Mountain Boys. He was part of the first generation of bluegrass musicians and was inducted into both the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Honor and the Grand Ole Opry. 1/2" closed tear at the bottom of the front dj fold, else vg overall. First edition, number 427 of only 500 copies of this complete collection of seven prints commemorating milestones in aviation, each signed by the pilot. Very rare thus. All prints fresh and attractive, each in a colored metal frame. A stunning set. Each print approximately 16 x 13.5 inches visible (each print is matted, framed, and glazed in frames of various colors). Each print bears the Currier Press embossed stamp. Prints are bright and fine (very minor marginal creasing and a small closed marginal tear to the Wright print, not affecting image). Previously sold by Baumann Books and coming with their descriptive sheet. Also included is the plain brown portfolio that originally housed the prints. Please note that this set is very heavy in the metal frames.
