Has some interesting pencilling in the autograph section mentioning joinining in 1917 going to Camp Travis some others and ".of these all with the exception of Meadows and I were sent overseas in about 8 wks as replacements on the Transport Tuscania which was torpedoed off cosat of Ireland and Baker drowned . . . etc. a mere mention but kind of interesting. Hard Cover. Zustand: Fair. No Jacket. Original cloth hard cover. 660 pages including index. With pages of ads in the front and rear. All illustrated plates present as called for. A work containing descriptions of various battles throughout English history from, as the title states, William the Conqueror to the Battle of Inkermann. Each description is broken down into days and dates of battles, offering details on the important events of the battles, as well as detailing who were considered the heroes of the battles. In FAIR condition. Cloth on the spine is VERY WORN, being considerably browned and lacking about an inch of cloth at the head and foot. This exposes the binding beneath and is unsightly. Cloth split along rear hinge, with the backstrip reattached with archival glue. General minor fading and scuffing to the covers, with a spot of heavy fading at the lower front corner. Extremities moderately scuffed with some fraying and bumping present especially at the corners. Binding cracked the front interior hinge and at page 224/25. Cover is attached to the text block but is weakened. Frontispiece and one page of ads preceding it are DETACHED and laid in. Numerical pencil notation on the title page. Text block solid with some darkening to the pages and minor scattered soiling. Page xiii torn at the fore edge, affecting some of the text.

Vintage German program for the 1953 film. Based on Charles Major's 1898 novel "When Knighthood Was in Flower," about Mary Tudor, the younger sister of King Henry VIII. The third of Disney's British film productions, following "Treasure Island" (1950) and "The Story of Robin Hood" (1952). Major's novel also served as the basis for two silent film adaptations, one in 1908 and one in 1923. 7.25 x 10.5 inches. Bi-fold. Very Good, moderately faded and creased.

Zustand: Good. -Good condition. -Spine is square with heavy fraying and material loss at the head and tail. -Text block shows age toning and foxing. -Cover boards are heavily bumped and moderately rubbed with edge wear, exhibiting small areas of blemishing, bleaching, and mottling; printing remains intact and lightly rubbed. -This book is shaken with several cracked gutters throughout, and the internal hinges are starting but still holding. Pages show moderate age toning and occasional offsetting, typical of paper stock from this era. -Text remains clean and well?attached to the signatures, though the binding is delicate. -This volume contains period commentary and terminology regarding race that reflect the attitudes and language of its 1919 publication era and may be considered offensive today.
