Hardcover. Zustand: Good. 1st Edition. Rare original 1874 first edition of Johnston's "Narrative of Military Operations, Directed, During the Late War between the States." The book is overall in good condition with some signs of wear and age. The covers have some moderate wear with some loss to the cloth near the top of the spine. The binding is good and sound. There are some period name inscriptions to the front fep and a small lightly penciled diagram/doodle to the rear pastedown. The pages are lightly toned from age with the occasional page with a light bit of foxing or grubbiness. Along with that there may be the very occasional page with some kind of other minor imperfection such as a minor stain or marking, tiny tear or chip, minor interior crack, creased page corner, etc. Generally though, it's a good copy. The book measures approximately 9 3/8 inches by 6 1/2 and is 602 pages long with some maps & black and white portraits. Please look at all the photos to further note the condition. ************This book will require additional shipping charges if being sent outside of the United States***********.…
