Revised by Stuart Gilbert, whose corrections some consider little more than Joyce's own. This is the paperback edition released in two volumes, here rebound in a dun half-cloth. Second volume is square and tight. First volume has some separation to spine, including a small number of loose pages, and would benefit from being resown. An esteemed and important edition of Joyce's Ulysses.

Overall, this is a solid, bright, Very Good+ set in Very Good dust jackets, which all have sunning to their spine, bumps with some areas of creasing and tearing to their spine ends and corners, rubbing with a few small smudges, and a hint of edge wear, while Vol. III also has a few stray marks at the tail of its spine. Set is housed in a Good+ slipcase, which is unevenly sunned, has bumps to the corners, light wear to the edges, rubbing with some smudging to the panels, and mild wrinkling to the paper at the tail of the rear panel with some flaking at the head.
