Rudolf2200 Sprache: Deutsch Gewicht in Gramm: 370.…

Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This captivating collection of letters from Crown Prince Rudolf of Austria offers an intimate glimpse into the life and mind of a Habsburg heir at the twilight of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Written between 1882 and 1889, primarily to journalist Moriz Szeps, the letters reveal Rudolf's progressive political views and his deep concern for the social and economic challenges facing his nation. Through Rudolf's unique perspective, we witness the tensions between liberalism and conservatism, the rise of nationalism, and the looming threat of war in Europe. From his insightful reflections on the Dreyfus Affair to his prescient warnings about the dangers of anti-Semitism, Rudolf emerges as a thoughtful and forward-thinking figure, grappling with the complexities of his time. This book provides a valuable record of a pivotal era in European history, shedding light on the hopes, fears, and unfulfilled aspirations of a remarkable prince.
