Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Dust Jacket Included. 1st Edition. As a member of the Finnish Tatar minority, Ymär Daher (1910-1999) was one of the pioneers of multicultural thinking. Through his work and example, he promoted the preservation of the language and culture of his community. Along with his career as a lawyer and civi…l servant, Daher created an academic career and worked as a teacher of Turkology at the University of Helsinki. This book includes several articles written by different authors in honor of him. Languages include Finnish, Russian, English, German, Arabic. Among the English articles there is Sir Gerard Clauson's "The Language of Tatar Soldiers in the First Great War". Dust jacket has moderate wear, light fraying. 375 pp.
