Immer wieder kommen geometrische Formen wie Kreise, Ellipsen oder Tropfen in den Bildern vor. Aber auch die Leere spielt eine große Rolle. So bewegen sich die Arbeiten an der Grenze zwischen Materiellem und Immateriellem, was ihnen von Ruhe und Zeitlosigkeit verleiht.Der finnische Fotograf Timo Kelaranta (\*1951) arbeitete seit den 1970er-Jahren als Fotokünstler. Er war Professor für Fotografie an der University of Art and Design in Helsinki, der jetzigen Aalto University.
