First Edition. Number 481 of an edition limited to 1700. Very good indeed, clean and tight, in a dust jacket that is also very good indeed but has a short closed tear, now protected. Africana. Hardback. With dj.

Hardcover. Zustand: Near Fine. No Jacket. Limited. 489 pages (complete). Hand-numbered 30 of a limited collectors' edition of 250 copies. Signed by Alan Kemp on the title page. Inscribed to Roydon C Peden (whose ex-libris plates and stamp appear on the front pastedown and frontispage). Half leather. Marbled boards. A wonderful copy. The book is housed in an earth coloured slipcase (a little scuffed). The leather lips are worn. The case is sound, assured. The boards and leathered corners and spine are wonderfully handsome and agleam with health. The paper trims have sparse, very, very shallow handling marks. The early pages have thin rims of discolouration about the edges. This is the limit of distraction. The contents are terrifically clean and clear, bright, vivid, visceral, fresh and bright, smart, serene - as if almost new throughout! fk.
