Full-page color plates of pieces from the collection: a silver and shibuichi cockatoo by Nishimura Toshihiko dated 1911, an articulated silver elephant, lacquer by Shibata Zeshin, cloisonne by Namikawa Yasuyuki and Namikawa Sosuke, Satsuma earthenware by Yabu Meizan, and porcelain by Makuzu Kozan. Final leaf lists all five volumes with contributors, page counts, plate counts and individual ISBNs, and names the editorial board, among them Lawrence Smith of the British Museum, Barbara Ford of the Metropolitan Museum, and curators from the Victoria and Albert and the Tokyo National Research Institute. …
