Fascinated by the wondrous architecture of webs spun by spiders, Anneke Schat developed a style entitled Bridging the Wind. The ingenious thread formations of these spiders, coupled with the architecture of the New Modernist movement formed the source of inspiration for the jewellery and works on paper. The publication of this book marks the occasion of Schat's exhibition in Museum Van der Togt, Amsterdam, from 6 May to 12 June 1994.
