In den WarenkorbFirst edition, first printing. With a signed limited edition lithograph. Publisher's original blind stamped white cloth, in dustwrapper. Illustrated in colour and black and white throughout. Text in Slovenian with the exception of four pages in English. An excellent near fine copy, the binding with a few foxing spots to the cloth is square and firm. The contents are clean throughout and without previous owner's inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the original dustwrapper that is slightly toned to the spine. Loosely laid in is an original serigraph, limited to 220 copies and signed in pencil by Zvest Apollonio and dated [19]85 to the lower margin. Scarce. An appealing profusely illustrated volume of the work of Italian / Slovakian artist Zvest Apollonio (1935-2005), whose authentic and distinct oeuvre forms an indispensable part of Slovene contemporary modern art. The artist worked in various mediums, including painting, sculpture, drawing, illustration and mosaic but is perhaps best known for his graphic arts and printmaking. During his career he held over 40 solo exhibitions in galleries in Slovenia and internationally and was the recipient of more than 30 national and international awards.
