Superb book on Russian Constructivist architect Ivan Leonidov, published for an exhibition at the Triennale di Milano. Leonidov studied at the VKhUTEMAS under Alexander Vesnin, and th…e architectural projects designed there and afterwards brought him international recognition - Futuristic buildings inspired by advanced technologies, with lean towers flanked by domes and planetariums, all linked by monorails. Almost all of his projects, largely entered for competitions for new Communist buildings, were never realized. This book reproduces most of the original sketches and plans, from which spectacular new models were constructed for the exhibition. The best book to date on Leonidov. Scarce.
