Some occasionally strong foxing spots upon interior leaves with some creased page corners; several terminal leaves have shallow chipping along their fore-edges; mild bumping evident at bottom corners throughout the publication. Scarce reference regarding 19th and early 20th century pottery manufacturing in Mississippi with much on the state's geology, manufacturing methods, clay preparation, chemical analysis, etc. There is some brief text on contemporary stoneware and earthenware potters in the clay-rich counties of Marshall, Itawamba, Tishomingo, and Monroe.
