Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book presents a scientific approach to shipbuilding, proposing a radical departure from traditional ship design to achieve unprecedented speed and efficiency. Building on the foundation of centuries-old naval innovation, the author utilizes principles of fluid dynamics to craft a ve…ssel that prioritizes hull sharpness at the waterline while maintaining ample displacement. The book's historical perspective traces the evolution of naval architecture, highlighting the limitations of existing ship designs. It delves into the laws of resistance and friction in water, demonstrating the significance of submerged versus surface resistance. The author also examines the problem of propeller shaft support and offers a solution that enhances both safety and performance. This book's groundbreaking insights offer an invaluable resource for advancing the field of shipbuilding and are particularly relevant in the context of modern maritime transportation challenges. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
