Piattiinterni foderati con bella carta a motivi geometrici in nero e giallo. All'ultima carta bianca nota di possesso privata datata 18 febbraio 1868. L'opera è dedicata a… "Monsieur le Comte de Vaudreuil Marechal des Camps et Armees de Sa Majeste ". In fine al volume un epigramma. All'interno esemplare inbuone condizioni di conservazione. Prima ed unica edizione rara di questo pamphlet dedicato a Luigi Filippo II d'Orléans. Noto come Philippe Égalité, nacque il 13 aprile 1747 a Saint-Cloud. Figlio di Luigi Filippo I, duca di Orléans, e di Francesca Maria di Borbone, si distaccò dal resto della nobiltà francese durante la Rivoluzione Francese, appellandosi al concetto di uguaglianza. Questo lo portò a ricevere il soprannome "Égalité", che rifletteva le sue posizioni progressiste e il supporto per i principi della Rivoluzione. Filippo Égalité era un sostenitore delle riforme e della condanna dei privilegi aristocratici. Durante il periodo rivoluzionario, si schierò dalla parte dei rivoluzionari e divenne membro della Convenzione Nazionale. Tuttavia, la sua ambizione politica lo portò a un destino tragico. Nonostante i suoi tentativi di distaccarsi dalla nobiltà, fu arrestato nel 1793 e giustiziato il 6 novembre dello stesso anno. La sua vita e morte simboleggiano il tumulto e le contraddizioni della Francia rivoluzionaria, incarnando le speranze e i pericoli di un'epoca di cambiamento radicale. Rare.
