That said, it appears to have been a collaborative effort between philosophers, scientists and educators who believed in experimentalism. Its editors were Edgar A. Singer Jr., C.W. Churchman and R.L. Ackoff. This issue includes: "The Methodology of Toxicological Research," by Willard Machle; "Notes on the Definition of Experiment," by Malcolm G. Preston; "Philosophy of Experiment," by Edgar A. Singer Jr. (reprinted from another journal); "What Should the Engineer Know," by Sebastian Littauer; "Esthetics and Music," by John S. Adams, Jr.; "Operational Defining," by C.W. Churchman and R.L. Ackoff. Provenance: this came from a collection of books where some were owned by mathematician James Andrew Clarkson. GOOD condition. Some soiling and smudging to the covers. General fading.
