Covers are both darkened and faded and there is a split in the cloth over the whole of the front exterior joint, although the covers are firmly attached. Second free front end-paper has a prize plate headed "Jackson's Charity Prize, Marske" for 1910-1911, it appears that an extra leaf has at some time been tipped onto this page and then later removed.
