Introduction and notes provided by his daughter Anne. Two coloured plates, though most black and white, with red overprinting in the 'Playing Cards' section. This copy hasn't yet fully suffered the binding issue common to this edition, though pages are beginning to loosen. Apart from that, all in VG internal order and bar a little toning, pages are remarkably clean. Endpapers more heavily toned and foxed. Gilt to top edge of block. In original quarter leather with printed paper covered boards. These rather grubby and marked and showing some wear to edges and corners. Gilt titling to spine, worn top and bottom. Scarce in original form. Folio. Unpaginated.
