Quella esercitata indefessamente da Corcos, politico avveduto, intellettuale complesso, attratto dalla Kabbalah e dal sabbatianesimo, fu davvero un'"arte della mediazione" pur all'interno di una strenua difesa dell'identità ebraica. Ne nasce una storia unica, non più divisa, fatta di gruppi e di individui che parlano tra di loro e operano spesso insieme.
