Unclipped color illustrated dust wrapper's front panel art continues on dj backstrip. Rear dj panel is off white with two other reading suggestions. Unclipped dust wrapper has one 1" closed tear at head of frt gutter and a wrinkle at head of spine, one micro chip at head of dj spine and color loss at flap folds. Still displays very well in new mylar showing a girl and a goy riding ponies through a wide stream on a trail ride. The Sheppard family find themselves spending the Easter holidays at Lindacortte Farm on the Moor. The hunt, mostly on horseback, for a clue to a lost inheritance carries them over the Moor with its rocky tors and rivers and hidden villages. A French boy, an American girl and a German boy all take part in the search, and the working out of their relationships plays a vital part in the unravelling of the mystery. This is a rollicking riding book, into which is ingeniously introduced the excitement of an international thriller. The local scenes are accurately depicted and there is a sketch map opposite the title page, which makes it easy to follow the story as it unfolds.
