Hardback quarto, dustjacket, very good condition (in very good dustjacket), quarter-leather binding, cloth boards, brown jacket (gilt vignette & title, small scuff spine), light brown endpapers, two black & white drawings (frontispiece & title page), page edges roughly cut. 34 pp. Subtitle: 'And from thence along the coast of Australia, to Port Essington in the Cobourg Peninsula, and thence Bathurst and Melville Islands, Apsley's Straits, between 27th February & the 13th of November 1824 and continued in the ship Countess of Harcourt to the Isle of France, to 7th January 1825.' Short title: 'The Voyage of the Tamar 1824.' In his foreword Kenneth Hince states that the text is printed for the first time in book form, pretty much as it appeared in issues 413 to 417 of The Monthly Magazine, published in London from August 1825.
