Results of CFD simulations have be…en used as input data for Eureqa Formulize. The developed numerical model can be used to predict the thermal performance of an EATHE system operating under transient conditions (4 h to 16 h) for pipe diameter ranging between 0.1 to 0.2 m, air flow velocity varying between 1 to 7 m/s. Developed correlation shows good agreement with the simulated data for the soil having thermal diffusivity between 1.37 × 10-7m2/s - 5.5 ×10 -7m2/s.

Improvement of tracking system and the optical efficiency can improve the efficiency of fabricated Parabolic Trough Collector. Reduced mass flow rate or with different mass flow rate efficiency of prototype Parabolic Trough Collector can further be increased.
