Very hard on the china but my mother would shriek and run into the house to start packing to go to Switzerland where, apparently, they do not have such dirty things.], Presentation label inside the front cover, rubber stamps of the University of Plymouth on front free endpaper, illustrated paper-covered boards clean but top corners bumped, cloth quarter-binding rubbed top and bottom, a few marks on front free endpaper, text and boards very clean/]. Some might dismiss it as 'children's illustrated', but in its prime it was a collector's item for grown-up children - and still is.

Small bump mark and hole on pages 289-306 of the 3rd Jahrgang - text slightly damaged, but easily reconstructed and readable. Pages yellowing. [SUMMARY]: This extremely rare collection of the first 3 `Jahrgangs` of an important periodical devoted to Jewish history, with contributions from the leading scholars of the early 20th-century, is in good overall condition.
