Original front & rear cover cloth and spine bound in at rear of each volume. Red silk ribbon markers. Engraved frontispiece illustration by Kenney Meadows.

A very good set in contemporary calf alf, minor rubbing to the edges, with some peeling of the leather to volume 3. No markings or inscriptions. Light offsetting to the end papers, and some foxing to the margins of the plates but much better than most copies.
