Hence, based on the findings of the study the researcher suggests that the MFIs management need to be cautious in setting up a credit policy that will not negatively affects profitability and they regulated as credit policy, by improving the loan loss provision ratio, the MFIs should maximize the profit but the size of MFIs should be up to certain limit, and even if micro-finance in Ethiopia is a recent phenomenon the establishment of credit reference bureaus tailored to the operations of the MFIs should be considered. 100 pp. Englisch.…

The growing competitiveness in this Knowledge-based economy demands new ways of management. Knowledge management while being the promising management perspective, the initiatives and the awareness are very low in developing countries like Ethiopia. The research efforts done so far in the field are not sufficient in responding to different contexts. The main objective of this study was to develop knowledge management strategy model for knowledge management practices in selected Ethiopian Universities. A cross-sectional survey research method was employed. The results revealed most of the potential knowledge management practices are knowledge management enabling ICT adoption practices. It was found that there is relatively high percent of agreement for exploitative and codification strategies. Hence, a component based and process focused hybrid knowledge management strategy model with both codification and personalization wings, with emphasis given to codification is recommended in these universities. 108 pp. Englisch.…

Si bien la gestión del conocimiento es una perspectiva de gestión prometedora, las iniciativas y la sensibilización son muy escasas en los países en desarrollo como Etiopía. Los esfuerzos de investigación realizados hasta ahora en este campo no son suficientes para responder a los diferentes contextos. El objetivo principal de este estudio era desarrollar un modelo de estrategia de gestión del conocimiento para las prácticas de gestión del conocimiento en universidades etíopes seleccionadas. Se empleó un método de investigación de encuesta transversal. Los resultados revelaron que la mayoría de las prácticas potenciales de gestión del conocimiento son prácticas de adopción de TIC que posibilitan la gestión del conocimiento. Se constató que existe un porcentaje relativamente alto de acuerdo con las estrategias de explotación y codificación.
