The shift of corporate approaches towards incorporating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) impacts offers promise for private-sector climate investments but are recently contested. Institutional barriers remain at all levels, particularly in African cities. Since the Global North controls the world's financial markets, new means of increasing funding for the Global South are needed, especially for adaptation. Innovative financial instruments and targeted use of environmental insurance tools can upgrade underdeveloped markets and align urban climate finance with ESG frameworks. These approaches, however, require climate impact data collection, programs to improve cities' and countries' creditworthiness, and trainings. Brokatpapier, six leaves Nuremberg and Augsburg, late 18th century. A collection of 6 whole sheets of 18th-century brocade paper printed in gold (embossed, gilt, and colour-stenciled paper). Fine condition. Some patterns are very rare and interesting. Ca. 37x44 cm. Mostly signed. 1) Haemmerle 299: REIMUND, Andreas (1755-1782). Signed. "Sheet with six figures: four women in the four corners with distaffs, in the center men with woolen yarn and woolen combs. Embossed gold ground, yellow paper." 2) Haemmerle 345: REIMUND, Paul (ca. 1783-1815). Signed. "Broad individual tendrils with blossoms. ." This sheet is yellow instead of blue (as listed by Haemmerle). 3) Signed "A 1789 .? N 9," geometric and floral pattern over light green/yellowish ground. 4) Unsigned. Beautiful leaf with oriental scenes of hunting, sporting and open air activities. 5) Signed "A 1789 N 20," charming floral pattern with ribbons and strings over red ground. 6) Signed "In Augsp. Bey Johan Wilh[em Meyer]. The latter part of the signature is difficult to read; possibly in Haemmerle.…
