An 1840s shipwreck survival story, originally published in Edinburgh in 1845.

She caught fire off the Cape of Good Hope, and the crew put off in two boats, bound for shore 600 miles away. They underwent considerable hardship - rationed to only 3… tablespoons of water per day. Several passengers died, but ultimately they reached an island in the vicinity of Cape Town, from which they were rescued. A lively account, though with a heavy dose of religion, and scarce. Not in Huntress. Very good condition in brown cloth with gold cover lettering. xx (illustrator).
