Draft script for the fourth episode of the 1981 NBC mini-series, here under the working title "The Gangster Chronicles: An American Story: Chapter IV," which aired on February 21, 1981. Copy with a manuscript marker annotations of "role:- Aiello" on the title page, and the underlining of "Narrative" on the first and last page of the script. The thirteen part critically-acclaimed Emmy Award-winning mini-series was an attempt at presenting an historically accurate crime drama about the lives of Bugsy Siegel (Joe Penny), Lucky Luciano (Michael Nouri), and Meyer Lansky (Brian Benben), beginning in 1907 and spanning seven decades. The series premiered on February 12, 1981 and was aired over nine nights, ending on May 8, 1981. Later released in an edited 121-minute version on videocassette entitled "Gangster Wars." Shot on location in Capitola and Santa Cruz, California. Front wrapper integral with title page, dated October 21, 1980, with credits for screenwriter Richard Alan Simmons. 53 leaves, with last page of text numbered 237 (with the script beginning on page 194). Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages Very Good plus, bound with two gold brads.
