I suppose I became interested in art about ten years ago when I met Charles Saatchi at the Amanpuri Hotel in Thailand. I was sitting by the swimming pool and he was sitting with the film director David Puttnam. He asked me where I lived and I told him in Chester Square. "Well, introduce me to your husband because we need clever young people like him." So we became friends, but not within the art world. Johan was his "cleaner," as he called him, he'd clean up his mess and he cleaned up the Saatchi deal between the old and new companies. I really appreciated Charles's help recently as he assisted me with my photographic shows of nudes. The last one he came to he said, "Oh, definitely, definitely commercial, stick to 1930s Paris." I had been working with Martin Maloney and doing some colour photographs, and Martin said, "Keep on with them." Charles said, "If you keep on with them you'd better go into magazines." So I went to New York and took my book round and I got a call back from Visionaire. I then telephoned Katy Barker who was the only photographic agent I knew and asked her advice. She told me that I couldn't show nudes and that I should do some fashion photographs. So I was introduced to a girl named Rushka Bergman who helped me take the correct photographs for my book. I showed them to the photographer Michel Comte, who took me to Italian Vogue. I then did one or two jobs for Franca, including the Kartell Catalogue, which many photographers did. It showed artists in their chairs. She liked the pictures and suggested I do a book on artists in their studios. I asked for a writer, and Martin suggested Gemma de Cruz, and we drew up a list together. The list in the book is quite varied: It is Young British Artists and a few of the Establishment who actually made the young artists or helped to make them. I liked the older guys because I think as a cu.

Ebd. - Thomas Hugh Milroy (1870 - 1950) studierte an der Universität Edinburgh. Nach Studien in Berlin und Marburg, wurde er Assistent bei Prof. Sharpey-Schäfer in Edinburgh. Sein Interesse galt der Nukleinsäur…e und den Nucleoproteinen. Er war von der großen Bedeutung dieser Substanzen für die Zellstrukturen überzeugt, seine Überzeugungen sollten 40 Jahre später bestätigt werden. Er forschte zu Themen der embryonalen Netzhaut, des Nervensystems, zum Stoffwechsel von Vögel. Mit seinem Bruder John Alexander veröffentlichte er 1921 ein "Textbook of Parctical Physiological Chemistry". 1902 wurde ihm der Lehrstuhl für Physiologie der Queen's Universität in Belfast übertragen. Er veröffentlichte zu Themen wie Atemlähmung, effektive Stimulierung d. Atemzentrums, Ph-Wert des Blutes in Verbindung mit der Atmung. Die Beschäftigung mit chemischen Abläufen der Muskelkontraktion prägte seine Forschertätigkeit in den 20er Jahren. Der Wissensstand jener Zeit verlangte geradezu nach Fortschritt, die Schulen v. Meyerhof und Embden leisteten wertvolle Beiträge dazu. Auch Milroys Beiträge der Säure-Basen-Balance d. quergestreiften Muskulatur, die Eigenschaften der relevanten Enzymsysteme und die Vorgänge zu Wiederherstellungsprozessen im Muskel hatten Einfluß auf die sich langsam entwickelnde Theorie zur Biochemie der Muskeln. - John Malcolm (1857 - 1937) studierte in Edinburgh, promovierte 1881, erhielt 1883 d. M.R.C.S. Eng. Diplom, 1884 F. R. C. S. Ed. Nach seiner Tätigkeit als Chirug an der Edinburgh Royal Infirmary ging er nach London ans Samaritan Free Hospital. 1884 trat er der British Medical Association bei. Er war Präsident der Abteilungen Geburtshilfe und Gynäkologie der Royal Society of Medicine, 1913 erhielt er den Liston Victoria Jubille Prize des Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. 1893 veröffentlichte er ein Buch über die Physiologie des Todes nach traumatischem Fieber, ferner schrieb er eine Studie zu Unterleibsoperationen. It will provide many concrete instances of successful practices and programs which improve survivorship.Initially it will discuss the current crisis on a global and then national platform.There will be a discussion about disability adjusted life years lost, lost productivity, loss of life and its impact upon the nation and communities. The financial impact of cancer on society and government will be included in this.Population health management as regards cancer will then look at communities served, community health needs assessments and social determinants of health. How prevention and screening programs can be formulated from the above will be illustrated.Compliance with treatments as promulgated by the Commission on Cancer's Cancer Program Practice Performance Reports (CP3R) will be reviewed. The relationship between compliance and improved survival will be highlighted. Navigation and distress management to assure patients complete planned treatments will be included in this section.Quality of survivorship will review the four domains of life- spiritual, social, psychological and physical. How these can be maximized through system improvement and program development willbe illustrated. Financial issues and legal protections will also be included in this section. Survivorship care planning i.e. surveillance for recurrent cancer, prevention of related and new cancers will be an integral part of this section.Palliative, end of life care and bereavement care will complete the continuum cycle.Identifying hospitalized patients in need of palliative needs will be refreshed.
