Soft cover. Zustand: Good. A series of eighteen pamphlets published between 1929 and 1932 by Hugo Gernsback's Stellar Publishing Corporation, and seemingly edited by him. The pamphlets were either 24 or 28 pages long, and were published without cover illustrations. Most volumes contained a single novelette but a few of them had two stories. In "Science Fiction The Early Years" (pub. 1990) editor and critic E F Bleiler speculates at least some of these titles may have been rejected submissions to one or another of Gernsback's magazines; however, the Science Fiction Series (that were handed out for free in 1929) may well have helped stimulate some of the contributors into embarking upon significant careers. This is No. 9 in the series and the periodical has light wear on the cover with some stains, very light corner wear and the binding staples have worn through the spine. There is arabic writing in ink on the first page with (probably) the name of a previous owner.

Modest wear and front cover a bit sunned, very good or better. A large and interesting advertisement for a poets' collective brought together to facilitate readings; they make it clear in the introduction that they are "not a school of poets, nor a union, nor a guild. Although most of us have worked together in concerts [sic], we are not a clique." The poets are Pete Brown, Spike Hawkins, Adrian Henri, Anselm Hollo, Mike Horovitz, Libby Houston, Alan Jackson, Roger McGough, Ted Milton, Adrian Mitchell, Jeff Nuttall, Brian Patten, and Tom Pickard.
